DGV product case study

01 — Client
ShopRun · Retail & E-Commerce. Published as a DGV product case study: the challenge, approach, and designed outcomes of work led by our own venture and engineering teams.
02 — The Challenge
Discount discovery is passive and forgettable: shoppers scroll coupon feeds, ignore promo emails, and brands lose the moment between interest and purchase. Engagement ends the second the deal is scrolled past.
03 — The Opportunity
ShopRun is a gamified mobile commerce platform that turns deal discovery into an interactive experience. Players chase and capture digital deals from brands, store them in a virtual chest, and redeem them whenever they're ready to shop, combining mobile gaming, rewards, and real-world savings into one engaging experience.
04 — The Approach
Runner-style gameplay puts brand offers inside the level as collectible objects. Captured deals drop into a persistent virtual chest tied to the player's account, so redemption happens on the shopper's timeline rather than inside a limited-time popup. Brand retailers, levels, characters, and reward drops are configurable, and play and redemption signals feed offer targeting.
